Returns

If for any reason you wish to return an item, we’re here to help. We offer store credit for change of mind, size exchanges, or style changes. Refunds are only provided if an item arrives faulty or damaged.

How to Return

To begin your return, please:

  1. Check your order confirmation email (or shipping confirmation email).

  2. Click the View your order” link inside the email.

  3. On that page, you’ll find the option to Request a Return.

  4. Follow the prompts to submit your return request.

If you can’t find your email or need any help, just reply to this message with your order number — we’re here to help!

Please remember, you’ll need to purchase and include the return shipping label with your package.

Return Guidelines:

  • Timeframe: Requests must be made within 14 days of your order date.

  • Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, unsoiled, with original tags and hygiene liners attached, and free of any odors (including perfumes). Returns that do not meet these conditions will be sent back at your expense.

  • Sale Items: All sale items are final sale and cannot be returned.

  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. After lodging a return via our portal, you will receive instructions and a printable return shipping label. You may drop off your parcel at a post office, post box, or hand it to your mail carrier.

  • Processing Time: Store credit will be processed within 3 business days of receiving your return.

  • Lost or Damaged Returns: Salted is not responsible for lost or damaged return packages. We offer optional Shipping Protection at checkout to cover these risks. If declined, the customer assumes responsibility for any loss or damage during return shipping.

Sale Purchases

  • Sale items unfortunately cannot be returned. All Sale items are final

Australia & New Zealand

Orders ship from our Newcastle studio and usually arrive within 2–5 business days. All parcels are fully trackable and packaged in eco-friendly mailers.

United States 

As of 29 August 2025, U.S. Customs has introduced new import requirements that remove the $800 duty-free threshold. This means all goods entering the U.S. now attract duties and taxes.

To keep your experience seamless, Salted now ships all U.S. orders on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis:

  • Duties & Taxes Included
    Import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout. You’ll see them clearly itemised before you confirm your order.
  • No Surprise Fees
    All import costs are prepaid by us — your order will be delivered without any extra charges at the door.
  • Shipping Timeframes
    Orders ship via DHL Express or Australia Post (DDP service). Typical delivery time is 7–10 business days to most U.S. locations.
  • Returns
    U.S. returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. To start a return, log in via our returns portal [link]. Please note that return shipping costs are not covered by Salted. Duties paid at checkout are non-refundable, but you may be able to reclaim them directly with U.S. Customs.

Canada & International

Orders are shipped from Australia. Delivery usually takes 10–15 business days, depending on destination. Import duties, VAT, or handling fees may be charged at the border.

Free Shipping Thresholds

  • Australia: Complimentary shipping on orders over AUD $99.

  • United States: Complimentary shipping on orders over USD $300.

  • International: Complimentary shipping on orders over USD $300.

Packaging

All Salted pieces are carefully packed in biodegradable or recycled mailers with a thank-you note. If you have special requests (such as gifting), please let us know at checkout.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

For international orders, please be aware that customs fees, import duties, and taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our product prices or shipping fees.

Customs policies vary widely, so we recommend checking with your local customs office or postal service to understand any potential charges before placing your order. Unfortunately, we cannot predict or control these fees, nor can we reimburse them.
